Wow! So many people are following my blog now it’s very exciting! The feedback I’m getting on my historical walking tours of New York is very gratifying, and I have to say that I’m really on to something here – because soooooo many people are asking about it!
Now I’m asking everyone to tell me what they know about the “secrets” of New York. What stories did they hear growing up? What went on in some of the neighborhoods famous – and not so famous – buildings? Once I have that info, I’ll plug it into my tours! So keep those cards and letters coming, people. I need ‘em!
Picked up some new jobs on the Omoly tour guide site; being a New York tour guide is like the ultimate job! I’ve worked in real estate, sales, and business administration – but there’s nothing like being your own boss and meeting new people all the time. Plus I get to use all my knowledge of New York – I’m a native New Yorker and I know a lot of unique stories about this great city. And I love to work outdoors – I don’t think I could ever go back to working in an office again. I’m simply having too much fun!
I’m planning on doing some traveling of my own in a few months – I’m thinking of heading West to Seattle and British Columbia. I haven’t been outside of New York in years – since college. So if you have some good tips on places to go, stay and see – email me!
I’ll be writing more as I get some time, so check back often!
